Rise SLAM Team @ Rise Festival
The Rise Slam Showcase Team 2007 will be peforming their first gig as a group on Sunday 15 July at the Rise Festval in Finsbury Park.
The gig will feature performances from each of the artists who made it through to the team, plus the much awaited Awards Ceremony. Naturally all of the 17 poets and rappers who form the team have won first place - but there are now 4 more catagories to elect the overall Rise Champions. They are: Jerome St Louis Award (1st Place), Under 16 Award, the Rhythmic Award and the new Best Newcomer Award. Winners will be entitled variously to one year's mentorship and managment from Joelle Taylor, a home entertainment system, a day in the studios with Killa Kela, a portfolio photoshoot with Hayley Madden and fast track into the Poetry Society's SLAMbassdors tour team.
